The internship presents students with the opportunity to gain experience in the following areas:

  • Financial audits
  • Operational audits
  • Information technology audits
  • Compliance reviews
  • Process reviews

Audit and Advisory Services offers two internship opportunities to Rutgers undergraduate students. The positions include Financial/Operational Audit, and Information Technology AuditThe Audit and Advisory Services department will be recruiting Financial Operational Interns only for calendar year 2024.  Please contact Danyell Simpson [danyell.simpson@rutgers.edu] for the latest updates regarding recruitment. The internship begins in February and ends in December. Students are required to work part-time during the semesters and full-time in the summer.* Students will have a chance to work with a group of certified professionals having diverse backgrounds, knowledge, and experience. Some started their careers with major public accounting firms and then moved on to the private sector; others have had long careers in universities, smaller firms, and private companies. Through interaction and experience, interns will learn interpersonal skills, writing skills and work habits that will assist them in their preparation for a professional career. We have a long history of helping students get started in their careers.

*Interns will need a vehicle since our office is located off-campus and the nature of our work may require on-site client visits at any of the Rutgers campuses (i.e., New Brunswick, Newark and Camden).
